Spidey Swings Into His Third Movie

The thing I have noticed is that there are a lot of movies that are thirds this summer and they all tend to come out this month, or in Spiderman 3's case has already come out. Plus they all are movies I have enjoyed before and Spidey 3 and Pirates are the ones I was most excited for. *grins* I just got back from seeing Spiderman 3 and now I shall give a review on it.

To begin, I liked it. I will be the first to admit that I do not know that much about Spiderman. I never read the comics, but I did watch the cartoon when TV stations repeated it. The story moved somewhat slow sometimes, but I think they wanted us to know that Peter Parker is human, not just a guy with super powers. That has really been the whole idea behind Spidey. Stan Lee wanted to give him the human element so we the reader, movie goer and yes cartoon watcher could understand him, not as a hero, but as person. He definitely has his hardships and so does his love Mary Jane. While he was feeling like he was on top of the world she was feeling so low in the dumps and I think she really didn't want to bring him down. Spiderman became cocky and I think Toby McGuire did a great job of bringing out Spidey's dark side. Remember kids, come to the dark side, we have cookies. (That is off a t-shirt that I find quite amusing.)

Now onto the graphics. I was most impressed with Sandman. *nods* I don't think people realize how difficult it is to make smoke, sand and snow in 3D. It is one of, if not the most difficult things to create and they did a stellar job. *thinks of guy at dorms* *giggles* The animation, the modeling and the texturing were stupendous! I would love to have mad 3D skillz like that. Venom is always someone you love to hate. However, I would liked to have seen more of Eddie as Venom. *grins* But they had three villains going in one movie and I think sometimes it was a little cluttered, but they did pull it off fairly well. The storyline was not confusing at all, but like I said it did seem like they were trying to fit too much into a two hour span. As much as I liked Sandman and the graphics they used for him I really don't think he needed to be there. Personally I think they could have done more with Harry Osbourne and Eddie Brock if they didn't have Flint Marco. Then again the ending makes more sense if you do have them all. O_o Did I just contradict myself? Oh well, all in all I liked it. It was a fun movie to watch, but it does have it's sad parts. If this truly was the last Spiderman it was good. I'm sure some people will be disappointed a little bit with one thing, but I won't ruin it for you. I really wanted to stay until the very end of the credits to see if there was anything extra, but I had to go to the store and buy milk and conditioner. I should look up online and see if there is anything extra at the end. I don't even know if the first two movies had anything extra at their ends, but I don't really think so.

I think some people were disappointed in the movie, but I wasn't. I never go to these movies expecting too much. Some are better than others and the Spiderman movies are definitely better than most comic book movies. Stan Lee should be very proud of his creation and how they portrayed Spidey in the movies. *nods*

Not much else is going on in life. Last Sunday we started playing new characters once again. I'm playing Tyberius, a gladiator who became a slave when he was around 8 or 9 years old. He fought in Maiestus in the city of Illa, but was then bought by my favorite assassin, Marius Deathblade. Mar is getting up in age now and he has found an heir to take his place as lord, but he has to teach the kid how to fight and that is why he bought Ty. Fortunately, Ty was saved by Nikki and Gabe (Khori & Mike's characters) because they were looking for Mar's daughter. They had this notion in their heads that Mar had her, but of course he didn't because he doesn't care one lick about a daughter. Especially one who is going to grow up as a goodie-two-shoes. *nods* He would rather end both the daughter and the mother, but he would never do it because he values his life more than their's. You see, Nikki and Gabe are quite powerful and so is their friend Silver, my character. He knows they adore Harmony, his former sweetheart, and he would be the first to be blamed if anything horrid happened to her. He used to stay away, but now he is mad. Nikki stole good slaves and blamed him for the disappearance of a girl he doesn't even know anything about. So, it is her and Gabe's fault that his interest has been peeked. He wants revenge for being annoyed and I have to admit is curious about the life he helped create and he does want to know why she, Azmaria, keeps running away from Harmony. He has had frequent visits from Nikki & Gabe lately and it really needs to stop. *nods* I ramble! Anyway, what a coincidence! Azmaria, Ty and Three are all traveling together. Poor Ty was found by his former master, Mar, and now has the job of turning Azmaria evil. It is the perfect revenge if Mar can pull it off with Ty's help. I still need to hammer some details out on why he would want to have revenge on Harmony. I would think because she was bossing him around while she was pregnant. *shrugs* Honestly, if you know Mar that is enough reason to get revenge on someone, especially a woman. Not to mention the frequent visits. Grr. *grins* Yeah, it makes sense to me.

So I must go now and eat some fast food. Yeah, I know it isn't healthy, but. . . well I have my reasons for not making real food at the moment. :D
