Flashing

*yawns* I'm tired. I just thought that I would share that with those I love. *nods* I'm in multimedia processes II and we are learning how to link buttons to movies. Yay! I made my movies in Flash MX 2004 because I am cool, but they don't work in Flash MX. *narrows eyes* I think it's a consiracy. *giggles* No not really. Barb told me to check the save as to see if you can save the .fla files as an older version. I hope so because I would rather follow along than take step by step notes.

I'm still debating if I should go to the Otaku Society tonight. I want to, but I have homework. Hmm, watch anime and stay up late, or miss fun and go to bed at a normal time. *ponders* You know, I probably wouldn't go to bed anyway. *nods* I guess I'll go to the Society tonight. Yay anime!

*yawns and itches nose* *excited* Class is almost over!

If It Was Wearing Pink Mesh We Might
Have Found It

But it wasn't. *sighs* Oh well, at least I got to go to Best Buy and buy the Cowboy Bebop movie. ^_^ This entry is going to be about my weekend in the cities. Shall I start from the beginning? Of course I am! You would be all lost and confused if I didn't!

On Thurs. afternoon Meggles and I started to drive south toward the Twin Cities. You would not believe the fog that we had to travel through! It was insane! However, there would have been some great photographic opportunities, but I was lazy. Meg offered to stop at one point, but I said, "No thank you." We sang, talked, laughed, and made unrecognizeable noises to pass the time. It was fun! Once we made it into Blaine we went to a fish restaurant called Joey's. I was surprised how fast we received our order. The food was nummy and then we went and had some ice cream. I think it is called the Stone Cold Creamery, or something and they make you whatever ice cream you want. Meg had ice cream with Reeces peanut butter cups (I think) and I had banana ice cream with grahm cracker stuff and chocolate chips. Mmm, banana! After dessert we went to her house where her parents greeted us warmly. ^_^ We watched TV for a bit and then we went to sleep.

Friday morning we went to meet the other TAGA members at Oops Animation. We saw them and we were all early. We decided to go to a Caribu Coffee that was near by. Well, it ended up being a support center with a Caribu Coffee sign on it. *laughs* It was for people addicted to Caribu Coffee! I'm kidding! We then went back to Oops and we explored the building that they were in and finally we decided to go inside Oops. Chad, a former BSU graduate, was waiting for us and offered us candy and water. SUGAR!!!! I didn't have any candy, but I happily took a water. We toured the place and then talked to the president of Oops. He was very interesting and I realize more than ever that I'm going to end up over on the west, or east coast. It was very informative and the stuff they did was cool.

Then it was lunch time and we left Oops. The next place we were going to go was the Academy, which is a college that specializes in 3D animation. Meg and I went and had lunch at Einstein's (a bagel place) and then went to look for the Academy. I personally think that it was invisible and they hid it on the ethereal plane. *nods* I told Tipsi to go check it out, but she knew it was a school and she wouldn't planeshift. *shakes head* Anyway, we looked and looked. We even asked, "If we are good, will you stop hiding?" Apparently we weren't good, or the school is a bastard school that loves to torment innocent college girls. *gives off holy aura* Well, we decided it was a lost cause after looking for almost an hour. We then went to Best Buy where I saw the Cowboy Bebop movie for $15! I couldn't pass that up! *snuddles DVD*

After Best Buy we went to the *starts echo effect* Mall of America. *ends echo* At five o'clock there was going to be a demonstration of Final Cut Express at the Apple Store and we were going to meet the TAGA members there again. We got to the mall early so we went shopping! I didn't know it, but Wizards of the Coast is closing there! *looks surprised* They were selling everything for 40-60% off. I am a bad girl and I bought the Forgotten Realms book. *rubs hands together* Who wants to go to Faerun? *snickers* I also found a bouncey ball that looks like the world. Meg pointed it out to me because she bought some super balls herself. *eyes widen* Meg and I found a store called Love Sac. *falls over laughing* Horrible name for a store that sells bean bag-esque type things. I always wonder if the creators of these names know what they are doing. I bet they do because it got my attention. ^_^ We went to the Apple Store and met with the group. Meg went to do some more shopping because editing programs don't interest her. The demonstration ended and then Meg told me about this store that she saw. It had goth clothes for plus size women. Yay! Before we went I had to go to the bathroom, so we went in the Apple Store. *blinks* Right on the floor near the G5's. *smirks* Nah, we used the restrooms. The bathroom was for one person and when it came time to wash my hands I freaked out. Ahh! Where's the soap! I fiddled with the handle on the sink, but it only worked the water. I spun around hoping to see a little dispenser, but there was none. I walked out of the bathroom with a look of disgust. "There's no soap," I stated. Needless to say, Meg found it on the wall in a flat metal panel with dark buttons to push up. O_o That bathroom was too modern for me and I didn't think it was Kush friendly. *nods* Ok, where was I? Oh yeah, that Torrid store! Yeah, so we went there and I bought two Hello Kitty shirts and a neon pink mesh shirt. Torrid also has a neat web site. They have a size chart so you know what size to get. However, I tried something on at the store and it was too tight and it was my size. *pouts* It was cute too! Instead of buttons it had buckles. BUCKLES! I told Mom about it and she even seemed bummed that it didn't fit. Yeah, we had fun there. After we went to TGI Fridays. I had never been there before, but now I can say that I have. The food was good. I had a peppercorn hamburger.

On Saturday we had lunch at Red Lobster with Meg's mom and then we went to take pictures of mini coopers. Meg has to do an ad for a car and that is why we went to take pics. We sat in one and it was really comfy and spacious. I was surprised. We then went to International World Market (I think that's what it's called) and they had duckies! I bought two because I am a ducky freak. *nods* I am so sad. I think duckies will take over my life eventually. You know how there are cat ladies? Well, I'm going to be the crazy old duck lady that lives down the street. *giggles* Yay duckies! For the rest of Saturday I worked on homework. Meg went to watch a movie with her parents downstairs and I worked on 3D Max.

Sunday came and we went out for breakfast at a place called Hankerings. I had eggs and ham. The food was good and it was a good way to start the day. After packing and saying good bye we left for Bemidji. We stopped at the Olive Garden in St. Cloud for lunch and continued on back. I got to see a train!!!! I love trains and I don't know why. I guess I associate them with adventure. I know it is dangerous because I had a great uncle die that way, but it just sounds so interesting. We talked, laughed, and made funny noises to pass the time. Then we got back to Bemidji. I did some unpacking, called Mom and Dad, and called Luke-san. Tom stopped by to tell me all about the convention that was happening in the cities. I mentioned before why I didn't go. Apparently they were expecting 400 people and 1200 showed up. This is good because that means more conventions here. Maybe a convention, or two will trickle up northward. *hopes* Tom knew that I wanted to go, so he bought me three pins. They are as follows: Zelgadis, Hotohori, and Seshoumaru. *huggles them* Thank you Tom! It sounded like everyone had a good weekend!

Now it is Tues. and I have a cold. *sighs* Everyone is getting sick and I guess it makes sense because it is getting warmer out. Damn little viruses! Just because it is nice outside doesn't give you the right to attack me! Declaring war on the World Leader. Can you imagine?!? Other than my cold everything is going well. Yay!

League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Growl. That is a line from the movie and I use it to describe the movie. I was not a happy Kush. The movie had it's moments, but I was mostly disappointed with the end. Warning: Contains spoiler to end of movie. Tom FUCKING Sawyer killed Moriarty! No, damn it! I am a huge Holmes fan and I didn't like how Moriarty was portrayed. He has been one of my favorite villains ever since I can remember and they had him running scared! Dude, it was Tom Sawyer! Ok, Quartermain may have given him some trouble, but he was dying from a gunshot wound. The odds were on Moriarty's side and he ran away. He is a criminal genius and would have been way more conniving than he was. You know it is really sad because they had a really cool idea and they crammed it into a two hour movie. If they made it longer (possible trilogy?) and took time to do some research the movie could have turned out really well. Course they did leave it wide open at the end. *sighs* I hope they don't make a sequel. I had heard that it wasn't the best movie, but I was still disappointed. Enough of this rant!

I'm going to the cities this weekend! I'm going to visit a couple companies with TAGA and then Meg and I are going to do stuff. I wanted to go to the Anime Detour, but it costs too much. For the whole weekend it costs $40 and for a day it costs $40. Yeah, they don't give day passes. That's ok though, I've decided to buy myself some anime instead. I'm torn between Utena, or Ronin Warriors. *says in bad Japanese accent* Samurai Troopers. I've seen Ronin, but I love the cheesey-ness! Then there is Utena. I WANT to know what happens!!!! Decisions, decisions.

Tonight Ijou gets to visit Marius. Squee ha ha ha ha! I think Ijou will realize that he will have to out smart Mar because brute force won't work. Ijou has 88 hp and Mar can hit for more than 140 on his turn. It would be an interesting battle though. Why is Ijou visiting my little assassin? Well, Marius killed Tipsi and that is a huge no no in Ijou's book. Oh, I can't wait!

I Love You EA Games

*whispers* Challenge Everything. Yes, I want to challenge everything at your company and yes, you want to hire me as an intern. I'd be the perfect intern. I love video games and I know 3D Studio Max. *nods* Hire me and you won't regret it. *nods* *huggles EA*

I was looking for internships last night and thought I would check out maxis to see if they would want me. Well, it turns out that EA Games in L.A. is looking for interns with my abilities and whatnot. I also looked at TechTV and their two internships that I wouldn't mind having. Both of them include working for X-Play! Ooo, Kush wants. I did look for internships in MN, but I haven't found any as good as the ones in CA. Don't get me wrong I would love the chance to fly out to CA all by myself and have myself an adventure, but getting all my crap out there is another story. *sighs* I want my TV, microwave, consoles, and other heavy things and that is going to cost a lot of money. However, I think the benefits of living out there and getting some actual experience at a video game company, or TV network far outweighs the hassles of paying S&H for all my junk. I'm going to go to the placement service and see what they can do for me. Maybe they can help me find a nice litttle internship here in MN.

Spring break was great. I had so much fun playing D&D with everyone and playing Dark Alliance II with Luke-san. It ended so soon. *pouts* I am happy to say that Tipsi's liver is in great working condition and she is unable to drink any alcohol at all and we have our favorite psycho, Ijou, to thank for it. *smiles* Tipsi was angry with him at first, but she figures it's only a curse and she'll find someone to remove it. I won't let that happen of course, but she would try. Besides, Ijou would be one pissed painter if he saw "his" little Tipsi drinking again.

Hmm, not much else is going on. I went and saw the Secret Window with Meg. It was alright. Depp does a good job of playing an, shall we say, unbalanced writer. It was kind of predictable, but the ending was satisfying. I have class at 3 and I just want to stay in my room and work on my little calligraphy guy. Tonight I have Otaku Society and I thought about skipping, but it is a happy thing for me, so I think I'll go.

*goes to get ready for class*

My Inner Artist

Your inner artist is Keith Haring!

With your good-natured charm and fun-loving attitude, it's no wonder you're paired with the cartoony style of Keith Haring. Always up for a good time (or hosting one), you probably have a natural ability to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere. People are naturally drawn to that charisma, and compared to others, you have it good when it comes to making good friends.

This is my description when I took that fun little quiz. I wanted to put it up before, but didn't have time. ^_^

Ickies In Milk And Presentations

Whew! It has been forever since I blogged and there is so much to tell. This last weekend/week has been really busy! I had to work on projects all weekend, but of course I found time to play a little D&D. ~_^ I had to show Mike and my animation to my 3D class and they all seemed to like it. I'm proud of it. I know it isn't the best, but it was still good for what we were allowed to do.

Then on Tues. I had a presentation about cartooning with Leia. *rolls eyes* I am such a baka. I put the powerpoint file on a 250 zip disc and the computer in that room doesn't take those. Grr. They should make all the computers the same. We had paper copies of our presentation and we showed it on the overhead. It turned out pretty good. Mark made it clear at the end of class to check the equipment before you do present, so you know if it will work.

On Wed. I had my really big presentation where I had to dress up and everything. I didn't really like the layout of our concept, but it was done. Barb didn't like it either and she obviously made it known. Apparently Mary couldn't sleep last night because she was so upset. I wasn't upset, I knew what to expect. Mary keeps insisting that Barb has become worse since her accident. I don't agree with this at all. I know she was bad before. I've had the honor of having her critique my portfolio things at HCC. I guess Mary was really shocked and it bothered her more than it should have. Now she wants to work on the layout all by herself. *rolls eyes* I cannot let that happen. She picks the worst things sometimes. She picked pastel-ish colors for the graphics and serif fonts. Our audience is teens and they don't respond well to serif fonts and they prefer san serif. Anyway, it is kind of hard to work with her because she always wants to do things on her own and do it her way. There was a time recently where she wasn't so bad, but now she's upset and wants to redo the layout and change everything. I don't really know what to do because it is spring break and I feel like I'm not going to have much control over her. I don't think the presentation went bad, but it didn't go good either. It was what I expected. All the groups have been torn apart and I don't know if Mary realizes this. *shrugs*

YES! Spring break is almost here! I have one more class today and then Mom and I think Dad are going to come and get me. Yay! I am going to do tons of homework, play D&D, and rest!

I almost forgot to talk about my milk experience. I was at Wally's yesterday and I had my usual. I was drinking my milk and then I set the cup down and looked at it. I realized that there was a couple things stuck to the cup on the inside. "Maybe it's just bubbles," I hoped. I then stuck my finger in the cup and realized it was old dried food. Bleh! I was so disgusted. I mean I wasn't about to puke, but I still felt funny. And THEN, when I was drinking my Frappuccino I found a piece of plastic in it. EWW! I did not have a good day with drinkable items.

Ok, on to this little quiz that Meggles sent me. It basically tells you who your inner artist is. Mine was Keith Haring, who happened to use a lot of colors in his work. Yay colors! I have to go to class now. 6+*9285*/=87 Meg wrote 3+209629-that-95-*95*5/* Little punk muffin. *giggles* Kush out.320+6520 Meggles out.
