How Could You Edit Joyous Johnny?!

Before I begin I would like to say, I knew this and this is why I never bought CDs from Wal-Mart.

Ok. A couple Mondays ago I went to see the movie Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street. What can I say? I loved it, that movie is right up my alley. >_>; Yes, I know I'm morbid and a little demented. Alison keeps telling me so and I agree. Anyway, this entry is not about my fascination with death it is about Wal-Mart. Yes so , Johnny Depp is awesome and always does such a fantastic job of playing. . . would odd be an appropriate choice of words? Or perhaps psycho? Meh, eccentric. Yes, I like eccentric. And Alan Rickman! Hello! I adore him and this will be a movie I shall own when it comes out on DVD.

Since I loved the movie and the music so much I thought it would be super awesome to own the CD. I went to Wal-Mart (forgetting) super excited with the fact that I would be a proud owner of the fantastic music in the movie. How awesome it would be to have that music on Futune (ipod)! *clears throat* I went to electronics, which is like a second home to me and happily found the Sweeney Todd soundtrack. *sigh* But alas, there was no parental warning. O_o I boggled at it. How could this particular soundtrack not have a warning? Well, that is when I remembered that Wal-Mart is weird about their music and they edit the CDs they sell. -_-

I mean, WTF Wal-Mart? If you are going to do it to one form of media, then why not movies or dare I say. . . video games? I think it is great that there are parental warnings, but honestly do we really think that editing out the swearing is going to make a better society? Don't kids hear worse language in school and/or at home? I don't think Wal-Mart should be my parent. I am 27 years old and when I can't buy a CD in it's original form AND this is the only store in town to buy from, it kind of pisses me off. Yeah, edit that Wal-Mart!

Just to let you know, I was somewhat upset and I think it is worth writing about, but I'm not super angry. It hardly even dampened my day. It was just. . . frustrating. :D
